I’m a designer from Cape Town, South Africa, currently pursuing postgraduate studies in psychology at the University of Cape Town. While studying, I’ve been drawn to questions at the intersection of social and neuropsychology, and my goal is to contribute to an understanding of the neural mechanisms underlying social behaviour. I’ve become motivated by questions about identity and its neuropsychological purpose, this is reflected in  my work, and my pieces are often shaped around questions or expressions of my own identity.

For me, jewellery is more than ornamental, but a language of identity. Each piece is a reflection of the questions I am drawn to, about who we are, how we connect, and how we express ourselves. My work carries fragments of this exploration, transforming abstract ideas about identity into tangible silver pieces. I believe the beauty behind jewellery lies in its shape and texture, which is what I try and bring to life in my pieces, and why I don’t use stones. My pieces are guided by how touch, texture and form connect us to ourselves and others.
